Michigan Theatre - Cannonball Run

There's always something going on in the otherwise dormant looking buildings of Detroit.

Following a tip from Tyler Smith the night prior, Dustin and I made our way into the Michigan Theatre.

The theatre opened in 1926, by '71 this place went quiet.  In 1977 the space was converted into a parking garage.

High octane metal and thumping techno clash with the decaying walls of the once grand theatre.

It's as if the world has ended, the few that remain have gathered here await their departure across the wasteland.

Perhaps fiction isn't too far from reality, at least within these walls.

We descend back into reality.

Outside the streets are just as lively.

The bark of combustion echoing through buildings.

Others await the chase.

Alas, those in the run depart on their journey.

The destination, Denver Colorado.

Exotics cant roll through these streets without being vetted by the locals.

All the while crews document the rally from other vehicles.

Just another day in Detroit.
